Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has strongly criticised the decision of Andhra Pradesh Government to increase the maximum working hours for industrial employees from nine to 10 hours under the pretext of improving Ease of Doing Business (EDB).

BMS national vice-president M. Jagadeeswara Rao and State general secretary MVS Naidu said on Tuesday that the government has also increased daily working hours including rest from 10 and half hour to 12 hours and enhanced overtime from 50 hours to 144 hours per quarter.-

The BMS leaders felt that the changes will have a direct impact on employees, their wellbeing, health and raise family concerns and demanded withdrawal of changes made in the Factories Act in the larger interest of the working class.
